Recently we have encountered issues with Parishioners not receiving the weekly email from us. This is partly because we have been marked as Spam by some of the email providers. This is not uncommon. We will be taking steps to improve our profile, but ask if you could assist us by adding us as a Safe Sender in your email program. Details below.

What are safe sender lists?

Safe sender lists are lists or filters that you as recipients of our emails can create in your email program. When a sender is added to a safe sender list, our emails are more likely to be delivered to your inbox. This can decrease the chances of your email going to spam. This also helps ensure that you won’t miss future messages that you opted into receiving. This is especially helpful for sending targeted and/or time-sensitive messages. If you add our sender address to your safe sender’s list it will also represent a high level of confidence in us as a sender. Mailbox providers will notice this and route our messages preferentially. Safe sender lists will never guarantee deliverability, but it will lessen the odds of our email getting denied or placed in the spam folder.

What to do?

Just follow the steps outlined further below. If the tasks look too daunting you could

  1. Ask a trusted friend or family member to visit and do it for you, or
  2. Call the Telephone Help Number of your email provider and ask them if they could add us to their domain safe list.

The email addresses to add are –
anne.bailey@bbcatholic.org.au,
pastoralcare@stagatha.org.au
and
richardhouwing001@gmail.com
