Dear fellow members of St Agatha’s Parish family,

I’ve been asked by the PPC to write a few words in light of the
Cardinal Pell Verdict. It is important to acknowledge that at this time of deep
sadness across our Parish and the broader community,
people are responding to the verdict in many different
ways. At St Agatha’s we are a diverse community, built on
the solid foundation of Christ’s love and grace which brings
us together in regular prayer and communion. It’s what
makes our Christian faith very special.

This outcome has divided many people and our prayer is
that through this terrible situation we can lovingly care for
and support each other, as we work together to build an
even better and more inclusive Parish community. I hope
that we can all use this period of Lent as a time of
re-nourishing and renewing our faith.

God Bless,
Rob Kennaugh – Chairman, Parish Pastoral Council
