8 June: GOD BECOMING MAN. Filmed in the Holy Land, bishop Robert Barron explains how Israel believed God would do four things: Shepherd his people, Purify the temple, Destroy Israel’s enemies and Reign as Lord of the nations. Bishop Barron shows how God did this in ways they did not expect.
15 June: THE TEACHINGS OF JESUS. Bishop Barron shows how the Beatitudes or Sermon on the Mount, help us overcome the obsession with; wealth, pleasure, power, and honour that can block our relationship with God.
22 June: SAINTS PETER AND PAUL. Filmed in the Holy Land, Greece and Rome, bishop Barron shows how Peter and Paul were God’s indispensable men for the growth of the early Church.
29 June: THE UNION OF CHRIST AND HIS CHURCH. Explains why the Church is more than an organization. Also, looking at the four Marks of the Church. Bishop Barron shows how the Church can be Holy even with the recent scandals in the news.
6 July: THE LITURGY. THE MASS. THE REAL PRESENCE. On this DVD bishop Robert Barron gives us a beautiful visual walk through the different parts of Mass and explains their meaning.
13 July: THE COMMUNION OF SAINTS. LIVES OF FOUR SAINTS. In this DVD bishop Barron looks at the Communion of Saints and the lives and examples of four Saints, showing where they lived and explaining their spiritual journey. Saints Katharine Drexel, Therese of Lisieux (the little flower), Edith Stein and Mother Teresa of Calcutta.
20 July: PRAYER AND THE LIFE OF THE SPIRIT. In this DVD bishop Barron explains in simple terms, how to calm the mind for prayer, the teachings on the spiritual life by St. John of the Cross and St. Teresa of Avila and the great value in the prayer of petition.
7 July: THE LAST THINGS. With beautiful visual imagery Bishop Barron explains on this DVD the teachings of the Church on Angels, Devils, Heaven, Hell, and Purgatory.
3 August: ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI. Filmed around Assisi and its surrounds, bishop Barron looks at the life of St. Francis and the great Christian example he left for us to follow.
10 August: ST. THOMAS AQUINAS. Filmed in parts of Europe where St. Thomas lived and worked. Bishop Barron explains what St. Thomas wrote about God, how faith and reason go together, what it means to say we are made in God’s image, and how the Incarnation is the surest sign of God’s goodness.
17 August: ST. CATHERINE OF SIENA. Beautifully photographed in Siena and Avignon, bishop Barron shares St. Catherine’s insights into God’s love and mercy, explains her three steps to draw closer to God, and the ways we need to co-operate with God’s grace to advance in the spiritual life.
24 August: BLESSED JOHN HENRY NEWMAN. Beautifully photographed around Oxford and London, looks at the life of Cardinal Newman, his conversion from the Anglican Church and what that cost him. As well as his teaching on the development of Christian doctrine, the relationship between faith and reason, and how we come to accept religious truth.
