Notes from Colin Smith
Br. Colin Declan Smith, cfc, was one of Australia’s preeminent liturgists and religious composers. His signature mass setting, Mass Shalom (1977), was well known and sung throughout the country. He also composed Psalms for the 3 year liturgical year, several other mass settings and two collections of hymns. In the early 90s, he ran a 10 week course in liturgy and music at Mount St. Benedicts. Below are a few of his notes from his various teaching occasions.
